The Good: Comfort, Breathability & Barefoot FeelOverall, these crossover hiking shoes fit great and feel wonderful on the feet. They breathe incredibly well—a lot of air gets to the foot, keeping them very comfortable. They truly provide that "barefoot" sensation while still offering moderate protection from stepping on anything sharp. You get a fantastic sense of contact with the floor, allowing your toes to naturally splay so you can actually feel all the different muscles in your foot working.I've been testing out a couple pairs of Peluva shoes recently, and I have to say, these actually come pretty close to the Peluvas in terms of barefoot feel and function, even if they don't match them perfectly. For active walking and steady footing, they perform incredibly well. I also really appreciate their versatility; the color options make it easy to match them with different outfits. The Drawbacks: Lifting & DurabilityWhile they are comfortable for walking, they fall short in a few key functional areas:Unstable for Heavy Lifting: These simply don't hold up to a heavy lifting regimen or a scheduled leg day. I cannot say they have the best grip for squats and heavy lifts, and worse, my feet slide around entirely too much on the inside. The internal sliding is so severe that the laced top of the shoe twists and rolls completely underneath the bottom of my foot. It is incredibly frustrating and feels very unstable when you need a solid base.Poor Wash Durability: The thing that bothers me the most is how quickly these shoes deteriorate. They truly do not stand up to a wash. After only the second wash, the interior lining/insole detached and came completely out. You can slide it back in, but it just stays loose and flops around under your foot when you walk. It is so uncomfortable that you might as well toss the interior piece in the trash. I used to wash them on the activewear setting and have since switched to the delicate wash cycle—which gives the shoes a little more life—but they still break down far faster than they should. The VerdictIf you just want an affordable, breathable barefoot shoe for casual walking that rivals more expensive brands like Peluva, these are a decent choice. Just keep them out of the washing machine and don't try to squat in them.
Very surprised at the comfort I ware them at gym and around the house and for walks love them .I been wanting to try a pair love them👍
These were so comfortable I bought a second pair. Super value. I wear a 5&1/2and they are true to size. Better for me than flip flops. Feet feel protected.
Well made, super comfortable, slipper-like around the house, firm non-slip grip, true to size.
Love these shoes! Extremely comfy, toe box is wide, as stated, and bottom is comfortable from toes to heel! And, they are very stylish! I would definitely purchase again!
So far so good! I ran on both a gravel road and a paved road, and they feel like solid running shoes without the bulk. And the adjustable strings are perfect. I read a few reviews about them falling apart after a few uses, so we shall see. But as far as comfort A+!
Correct size almost a bit too loose
I find these shoes to be comfortable. Good for spring and summer. I do advise to wear socks or footies with the shoes. Also they are true to size. Socks should not be thick.
I LOVE these shoes! I Don wear them as “ water shoes” I wear them as regular shoes and they are sturdy and comfortable. Plus they’re very cute!
The shoes of my dreams. There is some support but it also feels like no shoes at all. I am 68 and run in these shoes, they aren't heavy like traditional shoes, I just love them and also the color choices
Love these Barefoot shoes! Great quality and value. Helps with posture and balance. Comfortable. I went up a size and am glad I chose wide width. Well made. Material is easy to keep clean. I bought two pair in different colors. They breathe, but don't walk in water (-:
I LOVE THESE!! I wore them to walk around Montenegro when I went and they were so comfy. I would not wear them for a long haul hike but they were comfy to walk around the city or on my long flight, etc. Easy to wash too! Just don't dry them.
For some one who has lots of different foot issues these shoes are comfortable and fun. There is a large/wide toe box. Just like going barefoot with foot protection when outside. Avoid rain puddles or you will have soggy shoes. Pop them in the dryer. I have more than one pair for that reason.
There cute but I wear them everywhere I walk 2 miles in them you will feel the ground though but still comfy
My new everywhere shoe. Like wearing five-finger vibrams without the sideways glances and odd remarks from passersby. My balance is back again, my toes can each do their jobs. These were half the price of many others that offer true zero drop and wide toe box, plus they appealed to my sense of design, quiet and elegant in their own way.
Shoes do what it claims to do. Decent water shoe. Fairly comfortable for short walks. Get dirty fast.
So far so very good. They feel really good on my feet. Very comfy. The size chart was very helpful. I like them so much, just hope I don't wear them out as quickly as other shoes. Wish me luck.
I really like barefoot shoes, and compared to some of the larger name brands, these seem to have pretty comparable comfort and usability, and for a fraction of the price. They are light, flexible, and overall very comfortable. One thing I do not like is that it feels like the heel grips pretty tightly and I feel like it pulls the back of my sock down a bit, which I don't love. Considering trying them without socks on to see how that feels.I wear size 7-8, depending on how things run. These I first ordered a 7.5 and it was too big. Went with a 7 and that's better. If it was in store, I'd try on a 6.5 to see how that felt, but I'm content enough with the fit of the 7 to keep them.
I love these shoes. Just make sure you get your size as the did run a little big. Nice price. Wear them all the time. Keeps my feet cool but if your in the sand it sure will get in your shoe. Very flexible which is good for your balance and to improve it. Comfort is great too.
These barefoot shoes are very comfortable and lightweight, good quality and appear to be water resistant. I bought them because of the ads I've seen for barefoot shoes and how they are supposed to improve balance. I also wanted a lightweight, flexible shoe to wear in the house and not for outdoors because I don't want to track in dirt and bacteria from the outside so I wear them exclusively at home. They are very comfortable and I like the wide toe box. The shoes are very flexible and the sole is skid resistant. The arch support is fine for walking around the house but I am not sure how they would perform outdoors. They might be fine outdoors, I just haven't tried them for walks or at work. They don't have a Velcro closure and I'm not sure what it's called, I think it's a cord lock. You pull and tighten the laces and slide the lock down so that it holds the lace in place. I like it because regular shoelaces come undone and Velcro wears out eventually and this 'cord lock' seems like it will last. I'm very happy with the purchase.
